How do I get to Ohrid?

By car

Ohrid is connected to other cities in North Macedonia by the main road network. The journey from Skopje takes several hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

By bus

Ohrid can be reached by bus from Skopje, Bitola and other cities. Travelling by bus is a practical option for visitors without their own car.

By air

The Ohrid region is also served by Saint Paul the Apostle Airport, located close to the city.

How do I get around Ohrid?

The old town is best explored on foot, as many of its most important sights are relatively close to one another. More distant places, such as Saint Naum Monastery and the Bay of Bones Museum, can be reached by car, taxi or arranged transport.
